A lifetime among jewellery

Vintagesieraden.nl exists to make the craft accessible — without sales pressure, with the care and patience that vintage jewellery deserves.

A goldsmith's workbench with loupe, tweezers, a strand of pearls and an open book in soft window light

Vintagesieraden.nl is an editorial platform on vintage and antique jewellery. The articles are written by goldsmiths, gemmologists and sales specialists who work with these pieces every day — in repair and restoration, in buying and selling, and in conversation with people who want to understand a family heirloom better.

The platform is above all a knowledge base: style guides, hallmark explainers, materials, cutting styles and the stories behind the craft. Freely accessible, no request form. In addition we offer one free service: a non-binding value indication based on photographs, for those who first want to know what is sitting in the drawer.

How the directory works, what a featured listing means and how the platform relates to the shops and webshops in the directory, is explained on About this platform.

Why a separate platform?

The vintage market is often flooded with quick estimates and shallow advice. We believe a piece of jewellery — and the story around it — deserves better. On these pages we write with the slowness and care the subject demands. No SEO copy, no buzzwords, but the honest explanation you would get from a good craftsman.
