About the editors

Who writes and reviews these guides

Vintagesieraden.nl is an editorial platform on vintage and antique jewellery, not a webshop. Every guide is written by an editor and subsequently reviewed by a subject-matter specialist from practice: a gold- or silversmith, a gemmologist or a watchmaker, depending on the subject. Historical claims, dates and recognition rules are checked against museum collections and specialist literature. A piece only goes online after that review.

Where something is not yet certain, we say so. Market prices are indicative; provenance claims without a laboratory report are noted as unproven; and where we refer to external institutions we do so via those institutions' own collection pages. Updated dates below each guide show when a page was last reviewed. The most recent editorial round was in juli 2026.
