Mistakes happen. Where a guide contains an error of fact, an outdated reference, an incorrect hallmark reading or a broken source link, we want to know — and we correct it. This page explains how.
Report a correction
Send a short note to redactie@vintagesieraden.nl with the URL of the page, the passage or claim in question, and — where possible — a source we can verify against. You do not need to be a specialist; a clear pointer is enough.
How we handle it
- Every report is confirmed by return e-mail within five working days.
- An editor checks the claim against the sourcing policy and, where relevant, asks the subject-matter reviewer.
- If the claim is wrong, we correct the guide and update the "last reviewed" date on that page.
- For substantive corrections — a changed date, a different attribution, a reversed conclusion — we add a short note at the foot of the article stating what was changed and when.
- Typographical fixes and broken links are corrected silently.
What we will not do
We will not remove a correctly sourced claim because it is inconvenient to a dealer, seller or brand. We will not publish anonymous accusations against named businesses. Disputes over attribution that cannot be resolved by public sources are noted in the text as disputed rather than silently taken down.
